Product details for the Gyan Chaupar game board
Gyan Chaupar is a modern interpretation of the historic Indian game of Snakes & Ladders, taking you on a journey through the cycle of life to learn and grow as a human being. The game combines the traditional game structure with multi-cultural wisdom for the modern age, making it the ideal game for anyone committed to personal and spiritual growth, as well as those who seek to foster deeper relationships with their loved ones.
This rigid board version of the game looks great in any setting. It is produced using premium grade materials and features hand drawn illustrations for all 84 squares of the game as well as the Mandala of Unity where the game begins and ends.
It also comes drilled with an 8mm hole so that you can easily hang it on a wall when not in use.
What’s included?
It is supplied as a stand alone game board and does not include a dice or player pieces. This keeps things simple and reduces the environmental impact of providing unnecessary items.
Any small object that is personal to you can be used to represent you as a player on the board, and alternatives to dice are suggested in the instructions if you don’t have one to hand.
Sustainability
It’s important to us that we minimise negative impact on the environment while also creating a product of true beauty and deep meaning.
This first edition game board is produced on 1400gsm FSC Certified coloured board manufactured by a B Corp paper mill in the UK. It is printed by an ethically minded independent printer in Somerset using eco-friendly SwissQ inks.
It will be posted to you in packaging that is plastic free apart from a single envelope tear strip. This version of the game is difficult to post safely so we are attempting to post it safely using as little material as possible. Please be understanding that as this is the first edition of the game, this is still somewhat experimental.
This rigid board version of the game is more durable than the poster version but also uses more paper in its manufacture and packaging.
