Product details for the Gyan Chaupar poster
Gyan Chaupar is a modern interpretation of the historic Indian game of Snakes & Ladders, taking you on a journey through the cycle of life to learn and grow as a human being. The game combines the traditional game structure with multi-cultural wisdom for the modern age, making it the ideal game for anyone committed to personal and spiritual growth, as well as those who seek to foster deeper relationships with their loved ones.
This poster format of the game feels and looks great in any setting. It is produced using premium grade materials and features hand drawn illustrations for all 84 squares of the game as well as the Mandala of Unity where the game begins and ends. The poster format is also highly portable as you can roll it up and take it with you to visit friends, join a retreat or play in a cafe.
What’s included?
It is supplied as a stand alone A2 poster and does not include a dice or player pieces. This keeps things simple and reduces the environmental impact of providing unnecessary items.
Any small object that is personal to you can be used to represent you as a player on the board, and alternatives to dice are suggested in the instructions if you don’t have one to hand.
If you would like a poster hanger as shown in some of our photos, this is not included but we recommend the 16 3/4 inch oak model from Willow & Stone.
Sustainability
It’s important to us that we minimise negative impact on the environment while also creating a product of true beauty and deep meaning.
This first edition poster is produced on 175gsm FSC Certified coloured paper manufactured by a B Corp paper mill in the UK. It is printed by an ethically minded independent printer in Somerset using eco-friendly SwissQ inks. It will be posted to you in a plastic free poster tube.
Note that this poster version of the game also uses less material and packaging than the rigid board version.
